Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing between MSU-CNSM and MIT-Marawi

A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between partner institutions serves several key purposes. A MOA is a legally binding document that (1) creates enforceable rights and obligations for the parties involved; (2) lays out detailed terms and conditions of the partnership, including specific actions to be taken, timelines, responsibilities, and financial commitments; (3) provides clarity on the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of each party, ensuring accountability; (4) specifies the allocation of resources, such as funding, personnel, equipment, and other support necessary for the partnership's activities; (5) includes mechanisms for resolving disputes and conflicts that may arise during the collaboration, (6) may outline performance metrics and milestones to evaluate the progress and success of the partnership; and (7) sets the duration of the agreement and the conditions under which it can be terminated, amended, or extended.

Overall, an MOA formalizes the partnership, ensuring that all parties clearly understand their commitments and responsibilities, and provides a framework for collaboration.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on October 23, 2024, officially and legally binds the REEL extension project partnership between the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of Mindanao State University and Mindanao Institute of Technology, Inc. The REEL extension project was initiated by the Mathematics Department of CNSM.
