Mathematics Department Extension Committee (MDEC)

The Mathematics Department Extension Committee (MDEC) was officially signed into office in August 2023. It consists of two Statistics Program faculty members and two Mathematics Program faculty members, and the committee is headed by the Mathematics Department Extension Coordinator. 

The UESC emphasized that extension projects by departments or colleges must be proposed and approved by the MSU administration, so the proposal for the REEL Extension Project was drafted.

The REEL Extension Project was approved to be implemented in the second semester of SY 2023-2024. The proponents of the project are the members of the MDEC.

A. The Project Leader

Omensalam Japar graduated Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Master of Science in Statistics from Mindanao State University, Iligan Institute of Technology. She is a data analyst aspiring to become a data scientist and an advocate of natural conservation.
